Simply put, Goa is awesome for cyclists. We can split the awesome into four categories:

Landscape
There are flat roads along the coast line, mid-highlands for the active cyclists and the daunting Western Ghats (which are older than the Himalayas, nbd) for the advanced cyclists. The cyclist view spans from the sea to rivers to farms to coconut trees to mangroves. There is enough and more for all the cyclist moods you have.

Facilities
The roads in Goa, with the exception of Monsoons, are in a good condition. While not all the roads are suitable for road bikes, a mountain bike or hybrid bike will help you get by.

Road Sense
While there are bad apples everywhere, the traffic is mindful and prudent. It is always recommended to have your safety gear on – helmet, lights, reflective jersey and so on.

Clean & Green
The land is blessed with abundant greenery and unlike the metropoles, the pollution hasn’t reached hazardous levels. So if you catch the rising sun on your bike then the morning dew, fresh air and chirping birds will be your humble companions.
